What's on in Glasgow

October/November/December

A spectacular series of events kicks off the festive season in style. Glasgow Green hosts an impressive programme of attractions, music, entertainment and fireworks (5 November). Glasgow’s Christmas lights in George Square (16 November) will have everyone getting deep into the festive spirit with carol singing and, yes, more fireworks.
Winterfest (16 November - 31 December) brings seasonal entertainment for the whole family with plenty of dancing, singing and skating, while those who want to perfect their rink-based skills should get into Glasgow on Ice (22 November - 11 January), a magical opportunity to slide around elegantly beneath the stars. But if all these wintry delights leave you cold, why not shuffle along to the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD) for The Glasgow Tango Festival (11 - 19 October), with workshops, performances and concerts. It’s going to be hot.
